Manchester, England (03-09-2004)
Heather and I were originally supposed to take a flight from Philadelphia, to Atlanta, to London.
When we got to Atlanta we couldn't get on the flight to London because it was full (since we
were using buddy passes). The next flight to London was in 22 hours...I just felt like getting
to Europe then worry about getting to London after that. Luckily we found a flight to Manchester
that was leaving in about half an hour which we were able to get on. We even got put in Business
Class which was awesome! It was actually possible to sleep there, and the meals were great.
When we got to Manchester I rented a car, and didn't bother telling them that I never drove
on the right side of the car, or the other side of the road ;) We went to downtown Manchester for
some food before driving to London. I must have stalled the call about 5 times while in Manchester
but no one ever honked their horn! I guess there aren't as many assholes in England as there are
here in the United States. The drive to London was about 3 and a half hours, by the time we got
to London's stop and go traffic I did not stall once.
